Junior Graphic Designer (Freelance/As-Needed)

Responsibilities

  • Resize and adapt existing designs for different formats and platforms
  • Make copy updates and design adjustments as directed
  • Maintain visual consistency across all projects
  • Deliver files quickly and accurately under tight deadlines
  • Occasionally contribute to new design projects and concepts once trust and skills are established

About the Role

Delightful Studios is a branding and web design studio that partners with small businesses, mission-driven organizations, and creative entrepreneurs to bring their visions to life. We’re passionate about bold, clean design and helping our clients stand out with professional, impactful visuals.

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to join our freelance team on an as-needed basis. Please note: this position is not tied to an immediate project, and weekly hours may vary — including some weeks with zero hours. Our goal is to build a roster of talented designers we can lean on when overflow work comes in. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s eager to gain more professional design experience, build their portfolio, and earn flexible side income while working remotely.

While most projects will involve resizing, minor copy/design edits, and production tasks, there will be opportunities for creative freedom and ownership of new projects after demonstrating proficiency.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Graphic design experience in either a school or professional setting
  • Portfolio demonstrating basic graphic design skills 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Strong design fundamentals (layout, typography, color)
  • Ability to accept feedback and apply revisions promptly
  • Access to your own computer and licensed design software
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred:
  • Experience with Canva
  • Familiarity with Figma and/or Adobe XD (or willingness to learn quickly)
